Create your very own Mom Tribe at the touch of a button

Mom life is full of constant contradictions. It can feel like a blessing one minute and a curse the next. It’s full of laughs and full of tears. Being a mom can make you your happiest and your bitchiest in the span of a second (we get you, moms of teenagers). It can be insanely challenging while also coming to you more naturally than anything else. As a mom, it’s easy to feel like you have to be there for everyone, but no one is there for you. And even though you’re always surrounded and always needed, mom life can feel super lonely at times. Like, no one understands me, I want to pull my hair out, did someone say wine kind of lonely.

But it doesn’t have to be. We created Mom Tribe App so you never feel alone. A free and easy place to find fellow moms who you can lean on and learn from during your journey.  And we just added a feature that will make it even easier to support each other.

The moment you login to Mom Tribe App, you’ll be able to create your own unique Tribes. These groups make it easy to connect with moms based on a specific location, circumstance, health condition, interest, or unique characteristic.

Your Tribes can be simple and local:

  • Need to coordinate weekly snacks with moms in your kids’ local soccer league?
  • Want to have an ongoing discussion group with moms from your church?
  • Do you want a local Tribe of fellow working moms?

Or complex, unique, and with moms around the country:

  • Do you have a child with a special need and want support from moms in a similar situation?
  • Are you a new adoptive mom needing some “veteran” advice?
  • Want tips from moms who have gone back to work after several years at home?

No matter the situation, chances are there are other moms out there who are in your shoes, who have the same questions, or who can share valuable tips, advice, and emotional support. And now you can find them at the touch of a button.

Still not sure how it works or why you should create your own Tribe?

Here’s how three of our Mom Tribe Leaders have used the feature:

Heart Moms Tribe

Imee lives in Charleston, SC and is the mom to Ylvie, an adorable 14-month-old girl. Ylvie has a unique heart condition and Imee has struggled to find other moms who truly understand her situation firsthand. She created her own Heart Moms Tribe as a place to find support, encouragement, and advice.

Says Imee, “My motherhood experience is different than others because of Ylvie’s frequent surgeries, procedures, and therapy 4 times a week: Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and early intervention. Having my own unique tribe gives me a place to share my experiences with moms who are going through the same thing. I’m also a single mom, so the app is an easy way for me connect without too much effort like running my own Facebook group.”

Autism Spectrum Tribe

Khira is a Mom Tribe Leader in Savannah, GA. She’s a mother of two kids, ages 9 and 5, and she’s creating an Autism Spectrum Tribe.

Says Khira, “My 9-year-old son has autism and sometimes navigating the waters of a special needs child can be very lonely and very difficult. When you have one special needs child and one neurotypical child, it can sometimes be difficult to find the balance so no one feels left out. We all need a tribe for those days where it's rough.”

Healthy Moms Tribe

Sarah is mom to Ella, age 9 and Xan, age 6. 13 years ago, Sarah was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; her health stayed relatively stable even during a toxic marriage and separation, but she recently experienced a couple of relapses. Even through it all, she keeps a positive attitude (in her words: “Good times are always right around the bend!”) Talk about a challenge and MOM GOALS -- navigating mom life while also trying to keep herself healthy and strong! That’s why Sarah is creating a Mom Tribe to connect with and support other moms in her shoes.

Says Sarah, “By bonding through a Tribe, no one will ever not have a friend to lean on, or to ask question to, or just bitch like crazy because you want to be yourself. Through our Tribe, we can share ideas on experiences, treatment options, oils, workouts, books, helping children understand MS or other chronic illnesses, new studies, diet, medications, acupuncture, and more.”
